Doggie Day Care??

We are taking Bella to an open house at a Doggie Day Care 2nite. We will she how she likes it. Since we wont be hitting shows for the winter. We thought this would be a good way to keep her in the social dog world. I will let you know what we think of it.

Well, the season is over. It has been a great first year.
We have learned a lot of information about showing and the
breed. But, we have only scratched the surface. We are
going to take a break for about a month and catch up on things
around the house, before the Holidays. And then back to practice
and education. This will be my last post for some time.
I want to wish everyone a great holiday season and we will
see you in the ring in 2006.

The AKC will accept Cane Corsos in Companion Events starting July 1, 2006.

We are heading up to Mass for the Cape Cod Classic

We will be bringing Bella, Buddy (our Dachshund), & Dante (Bella's littermate and Carolyn's Dog).

It should be a fun WET trip. Everything seems to be on. I keep checking that Rarities website for updates. I will let you know how we do.

Some other NEWS to report is Bella has a little brother.
We added a Dachshund to the pack. His name is Buddy and he is almost
4 months old now. His registered name will be Chuckie's Lil Buddy.
I do not plan to go directly AKC with him. I am going to show him at Rarities shows.

It is so cute to see the BIG girl and the little guy play together.

More news is that Bella's older brother, Kramer, had surgery to remove a growth on his hind quarters. He is still wearing the lamp shade until next monday. I was very surprised to see that Bella did not try to remove the lamp shade from him. I guess she knows he is recovering.

The Cane Corso Cruiser is in the shop for a tune up and to fix the AC.
Hopefully it will be done 2nite. So, I can pack her for our trip this
weekend.

If it doesn't rain 2nite, Bella will be going to the Handling Class
in greenvillage. I hope it doesn't rain. It is always nice to have
class a couple of days before a show.

Long time no Post! Here are the updates!

Bella's 2 weeks at camp went very well. We have been back to camp for 2 group lessons and 2 private lessons. This completes her training from Karen's K9 Care.

We did get the Honorable Mention in the ICCF photo contest.

We went the to Rarities Show on Father's Day in Neshaminy.
She came home with the following:

We have attended the show handling class in New Jersey.

The show for July's hanbdling class is this Thursday.

Then the weekend show is a Rarities show in NJ.

I was told Bella got Honorable Mention in the ICCF Photo Contest

I have not gotten my Chronicle yet.
But, our friends told us that Bella
on Honorable Mention in the ICCF Photo
Contest for this issue. The Contest
was dress-up corsos. We dressed Bella
up as a biker and took her picture next
to my HOG. I will post a link to the
picture when I get my copy of the
Chronicle.

We got a note from camp the other day.
And it said Bella was doing fine. I
do miss her. We get to pick her up
on June 18. Two days early :-) :-)

I have been taking our 11 year old
cockapoo, Holly, to handling classes.
That way, I don't miss out on any
lessons.

Early to bed tonight for us all.

We are going to the ARBA show in New Jersey.
I will post Bella's results here after each day.

Last night we did ok in the show handling class.
I forgot her martingale show lead, I know that
was the root cause of us not doing that well. She
had her normal daily collar on. So it didn't
give her that show feel. As I always say, can't
blame the dog, gotta blame the handler. It is
my job to have her prepared, trained, & ready.

After the show weekend, Bella will be going to
Camp on Monday June 6th. She will be there for
2 weeks. Ah, the spoiled life of a show dog :-)

Change in Plans for JUNE!

We still have the ARBA show June 4 & 5

But the CGC class has been postponed
and the handling class has been cut down to 2 days in June

We are adding 2 weeks in CAMP to Bella's schedule for June
and a handling class show at the end of the month

GREAT MOVIE!!

It answered all my questions. It filled in all of the blanks. But, I did not walk away cheering and happy. The movie brought tears to my eyes a couple of times. I felt sad walking out of the theater.

I am seeing it again at 7pm 2nite with my wife and son, plus I still have the cingular free tix to use. So that will be a total of 4 times in the theater for me.

Roman's Bella Gianna

Bella was born on July 15th 2004 in Canada. Her Breeder is Paul Whitman. She was the first puppy born. We got her in the Fall of 2004. She has been to Puppy Preschool and Basic Obedience. She is registered with the ICCF, ARBA, Rarities, & Rare Heirs. My wife started handling Bella in the first couple of shows. But, then she had me take over that job. I handle Bella and her brother, Dante. All of us need practice.
